Kountry Kids Preschool’s mission is threefold:

To prepare students for a positive and successful school experience.
To promote the development of the student’s educational, emotional and social skills.
To provide a Christian environment that encourages the student’s spiritual growth.

What do we offer?

Classroom Settings

We are purposeful in maintaining smaller teacher to student ratios for optimum learning. We also encourage hands on learning and exploring through the variety of lessons.

Houghton Mifflin Curriculum

We use this series as a baseline for our classes. Our teachers also enhance the curriculum by adding their own flavor to make the lessons unique and specifically designed for each classroom.

STEM Activities

We use stations to incorporate the introduction of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math.

Mini Intro into Spanish

We introduce the students to the idea of different cultures & languages through sight, songs and repetition.

Gym Class

Our gym teacher provides ways for the classes to exercise by actively moving & playing games.

Music Class

Our music teacher has the kids singing, dancing and using basic musical instruments. She also prepares the students for the Christmas and Graduation programs.

Weekly Bible Themes and Lessons

We introduce the students to God’s love through many of the old & new testament Bible stories including memorization of basic coordinating scriptures.

Snacks

The school provides a simple snack during the morning. Special circumstances for food allergies will always be considered. The school will work with that child’s parent to follow their recommendations.

Field Trips

Throughout the school year, we visit Hunter’s Honey Farm, AppleWorks, Martinsville Academy Gymnastics & Ozark Fisheries

Special In-House Visitors

For fire prevention month, the fire department brings the big fire truck to school. Silly Safaris brings live exotic animals for the kickoff to our Noah’s Ark lessons. Local eye doctors provide basic eye screenings. A dental hygienist speaks with the students about proper care of their teeth and proper diets. We have also enjoyed visits from Policemen, Canine Officers, Vets & Nurses.

Seasonal Classroom Parties

We have in-house seasonal parties consisting of Christmas, Valentine’s Day & Spring Programs. We conduct a school wide Christmas program which includes all of the classes. We have a graduation program in May for the Pre-K students that will be moving to Kindergarten.

Scrapbook

The teachers gather and compile classroom work and pictures for each student during the year. These keepsakes are sent home at the end of the year.

Secure Facility

As you will find buildings throughout our local school district, our building is also locked and can be accessed through a buzz-in/intercom security system at any time during school hours.

Our Programming

Preschool (3 & 4 year olds) – In session on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 9am – 11:30am.
Pre-K (4 & 5 year olds) – In session on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 9am – 12pm.
