Welcome to the Overcomers Ministry

Overcomers is a faith-based, compassion-filled and judgement free place to help face our hurts, get honest about our pain, and the negative ways we may see ourselves, God and others. Because we complicate things when we try to self-medicate our pain with harmful behaviors and when the heart is malnourished of love, joy, and purpose, the hand reaches out for any substance that promises to numb the pain of emptiness.

We offer caring and loving support that can point to who we were made to be, and look past the mess of our lives and BELIEVE in who we were created to be. God can speak to the emptiness of our heart, using words of TRUTH that bring LIFE back to the hearts of all who seek HIM. And as leaders of reconciliation, we don’t focus on the problems, instead we help individuals and families go from an empty life full of destructive behaviors , including addiction, to a fulfilling life of meaning and purpose.

We are here to help through the power and authority of Jesus Christ, and we are seeing lives changed.

"Dear reader, I don’t know what brings you to this web page. I don’t know what your hurt is today, and I don’t know exactly what you are struggling with. But I want you to know that you are not alone. Drugs and alcohol have wreaked havoc in my life and the lives of my family members for far too many years then I care to remember. Will power alone was not enough; we had to have God’s love, active and alive in us to bring about lasting change."

– Lee Mahon, Overcomers Director

“I first came to Overcomers several years ago. I wasn’t ready for lasting sobriety and ended up back in jail. I reached out to Deby Mahon during my incarceration for prayer and support. To my surprise, she showed up at my court hearing and gave me hope again. I am now back to living alcohol and drug free.”

“I have been coming to the meetings now for over six months and not once have I felt judged by anyone. Lee and Deby really go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome.”

– Jim

“I found Overcomer’s meeting through the Magdalene House. It’s not like any other meeting that I have found anywhere. When I heard Lee refer to the meeting as a ‘One Step Program’ and that one step is a relationship with God through His Son Jesus, I knew I found my home meeting. We have a lesson every week and he always finds videos that pertain to the lesson. It’s humbling when you see how much addiction has touched others. And it’s inspiring to see how God has touched the lives of so many people. Overcomers is different, we are a family that meets on Friday nights. Deby and Lee make us feel like family & you can feel the love. God is there with us and you can feel the Holy Spirit all around.”

– Tina

“The Overcomers meeting is a part of my weekly routine. I gain a little more of God’s wisdom every Friday. I can count on Lee and Deby Mahon to deliver an honest Christian message every week. A special intimate group of people sharing fabulous fellowship.”
