It’s been over a month since we began our series: Family by the Book. We will be concluding it next week, but I’m very glad we had the opportunity to spend so much time on this important topic. Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, said, “Our only hope as a nation is in a return to the scriptural underpinnings on which the institution of the family is based.” Society is built on the strength and moral qualities of the individual. These qualities are formed primarily in the home and by the family. That is why it is so important for society that we know how to minister to our spouses and children.
Over the past few weeks we have studied God’s intentions for the family, the importance of healthy marriage, and the necessity of raising children in the faith. This week, Rick will speak on holding the marriage bond together, even in difficult circumstances. Marriage is the backbone of family health and a pillar on which a strong society is built.
