Rick’s Reflections- 3/20/2016

Today is a day we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem.  We are reminded that even though the crowd did not understand what was really happening, Jesus did, and He went anyway.  That is at the heart of the gospel message.  While we were still in our sins God loved us and did for us what we could never do for ourselves.

My hope is that this year as we focus on this most precious series of events that we would be encouraged and that we would recommit ourselves to living out fully the life Christ made possible for us on the cross and by coming out of the tomb.

There was a very positive response to the new women’s Bible Study on Wednesday morning and Thursday evening.  If you missed the first week, no problem.  There is room in both groups for more.

If you’re a Gospel Music fan note the special concert on Thursday, March 31st, at 7:00 p.m. at Valley Mills Christian Church.  They will be hosting the Vintage Gospels Lads.  Speaking of concerts, we had a great group from Eastview including youth and the overcomers group attend Winter Jam on Friday night.  “Sing to Him a new song, play    skillfully, and shout for joy.  For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.” Psalm 33: 3-4
