Last Sunday was a very special day for the Eastview family as we were able to affirm leaders and get an encouraging treasurers report as well as a great time of fellowship and worship. What a blessing it is to be part of this body of believers!

As we continue to wrestle with getting our lives in alignment with God we have addressed our schedules or relationships and our finances. Today we will look at the concluding alignment issue, our calling. This faith journey will only be of value to us if we;

Ponder what has been presented from the Scriptures. Does it make sense?

Pray for wisdom and discernment, seeking God’s perspective.

Practice what we have been prompted and empowered to do, and do it faithfully.

Deuteronomy 30:19 says “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life, so that you and your descendants may live.”

We do have a choice in how we live the life God has blessed us with. We can go by the owner’s manual and live in alignment with the maker or we can do it on our own and hope for the best. Jeramiah 6:16 speaks of this choice. “This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.”

Time for some realignment?
