Rick’s Reflections- 11/8/2015

Over the past several months we have experienced a decline in our weekly offerings and to some extent in our attendance.  Financially   lower offerings leads to budget cuts and emotionally smaller     attendance creates gaps in the fellowship and encouragement of the body.  Together they lessen the impact we can make for the glory of God as a congregation.

The fix is pretty simple.  Matt. 6:33 reminds us that if we put Christ first, everything else will work out.  It is my heartfelt prayer that we, as a body of believers, will individually see Him.  Seek to honor Him with our attendance of worship, our stewardship of what He has blessed us with, (Time, Talent & Treasure) and our participation in the “good works” that He created for us to do as His representatives here and now.  Praise God for those who have put their hands to the plow and have not looked back. Luke 9:62

As we continue to look closely at Growing as Christ Followers, may we be constantly reminded of what Christ did for us by His mercy and grace.  Let us be motivated to show Him we get it, and we also want to pass it along.  Look inside your heart, Look around the congregation, Look at our world.  What do you see?  I see a perfect opportunity to make a tremendous impact for Christ.  Do you see it?
