As we continue with our series of messages focused on Growing as a Christ Follower I am reminded that we must acknowledge that we could never make the appropriate progress without giving complete control of our lives over to Christ. James Merritt once said, “You will never be all you ought to be, need to be, or can be, until you get under the authority of Jesus Christ.”

My hope is that as we search the Scriptures we will be very intentional in what we do to mature but also recognize that we must cooperate with God in this growing process. As Paul says in Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

At this time we as a congregation have many members and friends with some really challenging health concerns. Please be lifting up those listed in our prayer requests. Also would you please let the office know when things happen so we can keep the body informed? James reminds us that the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. (James 5:16)

It was great to have Simmi Dhingra with us Wednesday evening. The report on the work of North India Christian Mission is very encouraging. What an amazing movement it is, and to think the Lord has allowed us to be part of it all.
