Today we finish up a very significant series of messages on the theme of “Family by the Book”. We have tried to look at many aspects of Family and hope that as a result there has been some new insights gained as well as some old foundational truths reaffirmed by the Word of God. This is important stuff for sure and very relevant to our times. Dietrich Bonhoeffer the Christian theologian and martyr said, “Marriage is more than your love for each other. It has a higher dignity and power, for it is God’s holy institution through which God wishes to preserve humanity until the end of time.” That seems like a very good reason to do it “By the Book”!
Last week our young people did a great job hosting the seniors luncheon. There was great food, friendly servants and lots of fun. I still think Gary Stiles could have won at the Bingo if he would not have eaten all the candy corn used as markers. Thanks again kids for the special afternoon.
