First things first: Happy Mother’s Day! Proverbs 3:27 says, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.” One thing I’ve realized since my son was born is that moms do a LOT. I am continually impressed by the amount of energy and motivation my wife must have to take good care of Kai (and me). Some people can only be described as blessings and should be treated with the utmost respect and honor. Henry Ward Beecher said, “What a mother sings to the cradle goes all the way down to the coffin.”
If I have someone in my life who has loved me immensely, provided for me selflessly, and influenced me greatly, it only makes sense that I show them my appreciation. Even more importantly, the great people in our lives are actually calls to worship God. These people are opportunity for us to thank our Heavenly Father for the individuals He has put in our lives and the care He has taken in giving them to us. Truly our God has withheld no good thing!
