Potential is defined as “latent qualities or abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness.” Have you ever stopped to consider your potential? If given the opportunity, what could you accomplish? What kind of health could you be in? How much money could you make? How smart could you be? These are questions that may be in the back of our minds as we begin to think about New Year’s resolutions.

Naturally, we assess potential in a number of different areas. We consider an athlete who has been at the top of their sport, like Peyton Manning, to have unlocked their greatest potential. We think of        brilliant people, like Steven Hawking, as having fulfilled their greatest potential. We consider a world-renowned musician, like Jon Cook, to be at the absolute top. But there is an aspect to potential that we don’t often understand.

Today, we will be learning about the greatest potential of any human being. And it’s something that we’re all capable of. Let’s learn from the example of Saul and see how to live to our fullest.
